    Hello everyone, I'm Chen Jiani!
I am a student of Hebei University from Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. From 2019 to 2022, I majored in interior design. This is my simple four years of college experience!
I don't know what to say, so let's find out who I am and take a look at my learning process and some works~
Usually, I like to do some relaxing things, such as playing games, watching variety shows and sleeping. You can meet new netizens by playing games and have no worries about chatting. Watching variety shows can ease my troubles and make me happy. I like playing games and badminton, but I'm not good at it.
  • Why

Interior design is evolved from the decoration part of architectural design, which is the re creation of the interior environment of buildings. Although the development of interior design is only a matter of recent decades, people have consciously arranged and decorated the interior of their own life and production activities, and even beautified and decorated the interior environment to give the desired atmosphere, but it has already existed since the beginning of human civilization. I hope that through some more systematic studies, I can have a deeper understanding of spatial planning and expression, and learn how to use various factors such as texture, color and light to make the space attractive and pleasant. As a student from China, I am very interested in the traditional architecture and customs of my own country. My hometown is also an ancient city with a history of more than two thousand years. There are numerous traditional buildings, which has a great impact on my design concept: I hope my design can be more integrated with modern Design on the basis of traditional architectural structure, which not only has the characteristics of traditional architecture, but also closely follows the trend of the times. It has always been my design philosophy to adhere to the integration of the old and the new -- the coexistence of tradition and modernity.

    What     &    How

    Future

The future learning goal is to learn more about the impact of Chinese traditional culture on architecture. For example, the Confucian thought of Confucius: Confucianism established a set of strict ethical norms, which directly affected the layout, shape and color of traditional buildings. The most typical is the imperial palace complex in Beijing. Another example is the Chinese native thought -- the Taoist thought of "the unity of heaven and man". This concept has affected the settlement site selection, overall layout, indoor and outdoor environment design and layout of buildings, as well as material selection and construction technology. In ancient China, the basic principle and pattern of house selection was "negative Yin embracing Yang, back to the mountain and facing the water", which has long reflected the idea of integrating human and nature. These are the charms of traditional culture. In the future, I hope that the research ability can be greatly improved, not only the simple surface research phenomenon, but also the reasons for the phenomenon can be investigated more deeply. In addition, I also hope that I can greatly improve my hands-on ability. Although I had some hands-on experience during my college years, I still had little experience. I plan to make some physical models at each stage in the future to regularly test the change of my hands-on ability.

    Installation Journal (Level4)

The whole design is a reflection of emotion after listening to Brahms' Fourth Symphony. The overall emotion is changeable but also slow and quiet, so the S-shape is a form and path connecting emotional changes. In this symphony, I feel four emotions: loneliness, tranquility, excitement and helplessness. Therefore, these four emotions will be divided into four scenes, and these four scenes are a whole, and they are connected with each other through lights. People start to walk from the first space. With the guidance of lights, they experience the emotional process through the interaction of vision, touch, hearing and other senses.

    Hollow Village (Level5)

In this project, the space elements of streets and alleys in the traditional Gan style buildings are integrated with the reconstructed buildings in a way that conforms to the local temperament and has a warm history, creating an open viewing space. While retaining the original architectural features of Gan School, the oil paper umbrella element with local characteristics is added to create public space, improve lighting conditions, make full use of the original landscape perspective, and transform the implanted landscape, providing a relaxed and simple atmosphere for people's life.
The overall core idea is to combine the old with the new, retain the local characteristics, transform the characteristic elements, and create an interactive space. The combination of the old and the new is to rejuvenate the old elements.
